Our Story
Hello and Welcome to Periwinkle Farms!
​
My name is Ilse Huitema, and I love all animals. In 2018, I established Lil' Holland Rabbitry and successfully raised and showed Holland Lop rabbits.
In 2022, I rebranded my business as Periwinkle Farms, and have expanded beyond rabbits. We now offer a select variety of beloved small animals, exotics, and farm animals, as well as our Periwinkle Parties and Petting Zoos!

In 2023 I married the man God made for me, and we now run Periwinkle Farms together.
​
Besides operating my "Gentle-Lady Farm," I enjoy reading tons of books every year and a good hot chocolate with a dash of Cayenne! Oftentimes, my animals are named after favorite book characters.

My logo represents the delight that both books and animals bring to life. As a wife and mother, my dream is to share the joy that I have found with others. We are passionate about caring for our animals and recognize the abundance of God's goodness to us.

Periwinkle Farms
Here at Periwinkle Farms, we enjoy raising a select variety of small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and hedgehogs. We also breed livestock, a variety of farm and homestead poultry, and waterfowl.
We love our animals dearly and hope that each of our animals brings joy into the lives of their new families.​
Periwinkle Puppies
Periwinkle Puppies include our Legendary gentle giants, the Irish Wolfhound, our fun loving and courageous Miniature Longhair Dachshunds, as well as our wonderful farm guardians, the Karakachan. We have so enjoyed owning each of these breeds, and watching them in their unique roles.
